Directions to Manchester Velodrome

From Central Manchester - Piccadilly Gardens
Proceed North East along Lever street for 0.5 mile and turn right at traffic signals onto A665 Great Ancoats Street. Continue along Great Ancoats Street for 0.75 mile and after canal bridge turn left at traffic signals onto Pollard Street becoming Merrill Street and then Ashton New Road (A662) for 1.25 miles, turning left at traffic signals onto Alan Turing Way. Proceed for 0.25 mile and turn right onto Gibbon Street and left onto Stuart Street via traffic Island.

From the South - M6
Leave the motorway at junction 19 and follow directions for Manchester via A556. After 5 miles join the M56 via spur road at junction 7 (direction Manchester Airport) and continue on the M56 for 6.75 miles. Follow directions for Manchester straight onto the A5103. Continue along the A5103 for a further 5.25 miles and turn right at roundabout with intention to join the A57(M) 'Mancunian Way' eastbound. After approx 200 metres take next roundabout onto slip road and join A57(M)

* Continue to end of the A57(M) under railway viaduct. At traffic signals bear right onto Ashton Old Road. Continue for approximately 1.2 miles turning left at traffic signals into Alan Turing Way. Proceed along dual carriageway to third set of traffic signals and turn right into Gibbon Street and left into Stuart Street via traffic island.

From the West - M62
Proceed along the M62 follow directions for Manchester becoming the M602 and continue until the end becoming the A57. Continue along A57 becoming the A57(M) 'Mancunian Way' and follow directions as above * (from South - M6) for Ashton Old Road.

From the East (Sheffield) - M67
Proceed west along the M67 until the end (M60 Junction 24). Continue in the same direction on dual carriageway now the A57 (Hyde Road). Continue for 2.6 miles and turn right at traffic signals into Pottery Lane becoming Alan Turing Way. Proceed for approx 1.25 miles and turn right at traffic signals into Gibbon Street and next left into Stuart Street via traffic island.

From the East (Leeds) - M62
Proceed south west along the M62 to M60 junction 18 and turn left onto M60 following signs initially for Manchester Airport.
Leave M60 at junction 20 and turn right onto the A664 (Rochdale Road) following signs for the City Centre and then the National Cycling Centre.

Alternatively leave the M60 at junction 23 and turn right onto the A635 and after 0.6 mile onto the A662 direction Manchester. Turn right onto Alan Turing Way (before reaching the City of Manchester Stadium) and turn right at traffic signals into Gibbon Street and left into Stuart Street via traffic island.

From the North - M6 / M61
Leave M6 and join M61 south - direction Manchester. Continue and follow directions for Leeds (M62) until end of M61 - becoming M60. At M60 junction 18, proceed right along M60 initially direction Manchester Airport. Leave M60 at junction 20 and turn right onto the A664 (Rochdale Road) following signs for the City Centre and then the National Cycling Centre.

Alternatively at end of M61 proceed south via M62 to join M60 to Junction 12 and proceed left onto M602 direction Manchester. Continue following directions as above * from the West via A57(M) 'Mancunian Way'.
